"With the release of The Great Gatsby next month, and the continued influence of the HBO series Boardwalk Empire, 1920s-influenced bobs and fingerwaves are sure to be a roaring trend for the summer!" shares Lucie Doughty, Paul Mitchell Editorial Director. Learn how to create her twenties-inspired 'dos!

Steps:
Shampoo and blow-dry hair using a large round brush (Paul Mitchell Express Ion Round) prepped with a volumizing product (Paul Mitchell Extra Body Daily Boost).

Set the hair with Paul Mitchell Express Ion Curl, using 1-inch horizontal sections.

Start at the nape, and work up to crown.

On the sides, work from ear to part on both sides. Brush out the hair using a dressing brush to expand the shape.

Use a medium tooth comb to lightly back comb the underside of the hair to give it a little fullness.

Comb in and detail around the face.

Finish with Paul Mitchell Extra-Body Finishing Spray and Awapuhi Wild Ginger Shine Spray.
