The Beauty Launchpad team had a blast at America's Beauty Show in Rosemont, IL!

Celebrating its 101st year, America's Beauty Show 2024 showcased "What's NEXT in Beauty," with over 21,000 licensed beauty professionals uniting for a weekend of education, connection, collaboration and so much more!

Our team was in the thick of everything over the course of the weekend, and we want to share all the fun we had with you! Here's a recap of what you missed if you weren't able to attend:

1. Show Floor

The show floor was popping with brands like überliss, amika and OLAPLEX showcasing their fan-favorite products and stellar education at their booths!

Beauty Launchpad said hello to the team at After Pose, who recently collaborated with Rosy Salon Software, and they shared all the updates on their camera app with us! The Pose Cam helps stylists easily capture, edit, manage and share makeover images of their clients to promote their work and their business on social media. These custom-branded photos are saved automatically to the After Pose app for simple management with swift connections to the salon’s social media. Quick sharing allows salon clients to post their new looks and tag the salon and their stylist as desired.

We also stopped by the Lisap Milano booth to say hello to Cherry Petenbrink, Bryce Adams and the rest of the team to hear all about the brand's exciting new ventures, including their debut of Max Pro hot tools! We got to see a demo of the tools in action, which you can watch below!

2. Education

There was so many opportunities for education at America's Beauty Show, whether on the show floor or in the classrooms!

TRUSS took over our Instagram stories for the first day of America's Beauty Show, showcasing all the fun education at their booth with Asilcan Simsek, Sherette Fabi-Parker, Chrissy Danielle and more! You can check out our highlights on our Instagram story to see all the coverage. We also got to catch up with Sherette to discuss her work on TRUSS's first international campaign

Beauty Launchpad caught up with BaByliss team members Presley Poe, Rachel Romero, Philip Wolff and Alfredo Lewis after their live demos at the brand's booth on the show floor! We also got to give Presley a sneak peak of their Artist Spotlight feature in our upcoming May/June issue, and they were excited to say the least!

3. Connections

One of our favorite parts of attending events like ABS is getting to catch up with our friends in the industry!

Anyone who's been following our social media recently knows that our assistant editor Gabby has fallen head over heels for the Nicky Clarke brand! Naturally, she had to stop by their booth to say hello to the team! Drew Noreen styled Gabby's hair using the AirStyle PRO to create a big, bouncy Farrah Fawcett blowout for day one and the brand's soon-to-be launched hair straighter to create beach waves for day two! If you love the looks Noreen put together, stay tuned for his tutorial for glamorous Hollywood waves in our May/June issue!

In the press room, we caught up with the hosts of the Your Day Off podcast, as they chatted about their recent Presley Poe and Friends event, which Presley discusses more in our May/June issue.

We made sure to say hello to Sarai Speer and Ivy Ann Miller. Trailblazers in the industry, they recently contributed to our Women's History Month feature, sharing their remarkable journeys as brand founders.

We also ran into SalonCentric #ItTakesAPro team members Alexandra Wilson, Blake Reed Evans and Jamal Edmonds

4. After Hours Events

The fun didn't stop when the show floor closed down for the day!

After the first day of America's Beauty Show, the BLP team headed to The President's Party and Global Image Awards to celebrate the accomplishments of trailblazers in the industry. You can see the full list of winners from this year's Global Image Awards here. The event featured performances from Too Hype Crew in-between award announcements. Afterwards, Ulta Beauty had a station for aura readings, which our team members tried out!

At the end of day two, our team attended The Beauty Changes Lives GALA, celebrating The Power of One — Everyone. This year's event, hosted by Sam Villa and Elizabeth Faye, paid tribute to the beauty industry's multi-generational family businesses. The honorees for 2024 included: Mario Tricoci, the Legacy Honoree, and John Paul Mitchell Systems, recipient of the Generational Family Business Award.

At the event, we got to catch up with barber extraordinaire John Mosley, Mosley's videographer Justin Kyle Owens and Vinny's Barbershop owner Vinny De Leon for lots of fun and McFlurries!

If you are feeling the FOMO, make sure you attend next year's America's Beauty Show, set to be held April 5-7, 2025 in Rosemont, IL!
