With fall in full swing and winter slowly approaching, many of your clients are likely transitioning to darker colors. That means it’s brunette season!

While there’s plenty of brunette shades to love, we wanted to spotlight those rocking a dark, rich shade this season. Like letting a piece of dark chocolate melt in your mouth, these shades are ones to savor.

Beauty Launchpad 25 Under 50K 2022 winner and salon owner at Glam by Lexx Hair Studio in Windsor, Ontario, Canada Lexy Delicata (@glambylexx_) shares how she brought to life this gorgeous caramel drizzle brunette shade to add some dimension to a darker color.

“My beautiful client came in with a natural level 4, and was looking to add dimension into her hair while still being low maintenance,” Delicata shares. “Camila Cabello and Hailey Bieber were definitely the inspiration for this look. Our goal was to find a shade of blonde that compliments her natural hair color, making sure the tones throughout work with her skin tone.”

How-To:

  1. I lightened my client with Wella Blondor Lightener with Olaplex to keep by clients hair shiny and healthy.
  2. I root melted with Joico 3N, and glossed with Joico Lumishine 6BA + Joico Lumishine 6NWB with 10 volume developer to create this gorgeous rich caramel tone.
  3. I used the Bio Ionic 1.25” Curling Iron to create these luscious curls and finished off the look with Sexy Hair Texture Spray and Amika Shine Spray.

“I think the Chocolate/Bronde Color is trending because it is the perfect color to switch your hair to for the winter/fall seasons, gives your client a low maintenance up keep and offers a warm and inviting look that suits various skin tones,” Delicata adds.
