Just when it seemed like rainbow hair had reached its peak, a new take on the popular trend has emerged into the (black)light: glow-in-the-dark hair. The look, which is gaining traction as stylists share their work on Instagram with #blacklighthair, is just what it sounds like - bright, rainbow hair colors that glow when placed under a blacklight.

Created with the help of certain dyes from Manic Panic's High Voltage Classic Cream Formula Hair Color - which has been around for years but is just not seeing a resurgence - the look take neon hair to the next level.

You can also achieve this work with Pravana's VIVIDS NEONS, semi-permanent, direct dyes. For NEONS to be their most vibrant, the hair must be pre-lightened to the recommended level prior to application, ideally a level 10 for best results.
