On September 11, 2023, ALTUZARRA hosted a runway show for their Spring/Summer 2024 collection, inspired by “Rosemary’s Baby,” the timeless horror masterpiece by Roman Polanski.

The hair looks were created by international hairstylist Jawara using FEKKAI best-sellers and latest innovations, complementing Altuzarra’s vision of modern femininity and undone elegance.

“The inspiration for these looks was when one of the models came in and Joseph liked her hair. He realized it was really effortless and she just basically put it back, but what he liked about it was that the center part gave it a structure and the looseness and messiness of the back gave it a certain chicness - but it also wasn’t necessarily 'done,'" Jawara shares. "I feel like because the clothes are so considered we want the hair to have a bit of ease. We’re embracing the textures of different hair types and mimicking what that ease is with braids and afros. We have a loose half knot situation which is kind of unfinished – we’re going to call it 'unfinished business.' The unfinished loose knot makes your hair look like your hair is being pulled back but it’s actually not, so it’s kind of confusing, but it’s cool, effortless ease hair."

Below, Jawara shares steps for creating the hair look seen on the runway.

  1. Prep the hair with FEKKAI Clean Stylers Root Lift Volumizing Spray and brush back.
  2. Rough blow dry until the hair is about 80% dry and then create a dead center part from hairline to crown.
  3. Spray the FEKKAI Full Blown Volume Dry Texturizing Spray onto hair and then blow dry from the middle part straight down.
  4. Brush hair back into a low pony right at nape and set with the FEKKAI Clean Stylers Flexi-Hold Hairspray.
  5. Secure ponytail with elastic and spray it with the FEKKAI Full Blown Volume Dry Texturizing Spray, then slightly tease.
  6. Twist ends, spray with more FEKKAI Full Blown Volume Dry Texturizing Spray and then twist until the tail twists into itself creating a low knot.
  7. Leaving a bit of the ends out, secure with hair pins and finish of the look with a final blast of the FEKKAI Clean Stylers Flexi-Hold Hairspray.
  8. Use a pump of FEKKAI Brilliant Gloss Glass Hair Anti-Frizz Oil Serum and smooth out top of the hair to eliminate fly aways and add shine.
