The look is perfect for your on-the-go clients, or for those looking for a casual-yet-chic summertime look. Says Lori Panarello, KMS California Hair Stylist, “My client Lucia likes to wear her hair with a 'lived-in' feeling, so I had to create a quick, easy way to achieve it for her.”

1. Prepare the hair with KMS California CURLUP shampoo and conditioner. Apply KMS California CURLUP perfecting lotion to the hair. “KMS California CURLUP perfecting lotion gave me the ability to get wave and hold," said Lori. [pagebreak]
2. Work KMS California CURLUP perfecting lotion through from roots to ends. [pagebreak]
3. Take vertical sections, start at the root and twist the hair with brush, blow-dry throughly from roost to ends. Twisting each section gives hair movement and definition without a "set curl" look. [pagebreak]
4. Continue this technique until you reach the crown. [pagebreak]
5. Start to over-direct each section up following the round of the head at 90 degrees for additional volume. KMS California ADDVOLUME styling foam adds extra volume. [pagebreak]
6. Work the same way through the sides and fringe. [pagebreak]
7. Let the hair cool for a bit to set. [pagebreak]
8. Start to release the twists. [pagebreak]
9. Push the hair into place and spray into desired shape.
