Today, you will get to know Krista Bartik (@colorbykriss). She is a 23-year-old stylist at Lux Salon in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Q&A:
Beauty Launchpad (BLP): What is a fun fact about you?
Krista Bartik (KB): I play piano for fun. I've always had a love for the piano and find playing to be a great way to disconnect.
BLP: What is your proudest accomplishment?
KB: One of the proudest moments of my career was getting the opportunity to share my knowledge and expertise on stage at Masters of Balayage HERO Retreat, an industry event that brings together hairstylists from all over the world.
BLP: What is your current favorite hair trend?
KB: My current favorite hair trend is the ‘90s blowout. This look is all about big, voluminous hair with a smooth, bouncy finish that is glamorous and timeless.
BLP: What is a hair tip you have for your fellow stylists?
KB: To my fellow stylists out there, be a student for life. The beauty industry is constantly evolving and changing, meaning that there is always something new to learn.
BLP: What do you love about your work?
KB: There are endless opportunities for growth in this industry. Every day brings new challenges and opportunities to learn, keeping things fresh and exciting.
BLP: What motivates you about the industry you are in?
KB: The biggest source of motivation comes from within. I have a deep passion for the work I do, and I find that I am constantly driven to learn more, do better and push myself.
BLP: What is a professional goal you have for yourself?
KB: My professional goal is to continue making an impact on the industry by sharing my knowledge and experiences through educating others.
