Celebrity manicurist, Shea Osei, has been feeding those who have an eye for hands this premiere season on the Wicked: For Good tour!
Luckily for us, Osei has agreed to help you bring the world of Wicked to life with one of Osei's favorite manicures from her work on the film and red carpets!
Here's how you can share a little Ozian magic with your clients:
What you’ll need:
- Black gel polish
- Green foil flakes or transfer foil
- No-wipe top coat
- Nail foil glue
- UV/LED lamp
- Nail art tweezer

1. Prep & Shape
Prep the natural nails or extensions, shape them into a tapered almond, and apply your base.
2. Apply the Black Gel
Paint two thin coats of black gel polish, curing between each layer.
3. Create the “Shattered” Green Effect
- Apply a thin layer of nail foil glue and cure for 30 seconds.
- Using a nail art tweezer or your finger, gently press the green foil/chrome flakes onto the tacky top coat.
- Focus on random placement for that broken-magic, Wicked inspired texture.
4. Add Depth
If you want more dimension, lightly layer a bit more foil in different areas and flash cure again.
5. Seal the Design
Apply a generous, smooth coat of top coat to lock in the foil and create that glassy finish.
Cure fully for 60 seconds.
6. Oil & Done
Finish with cuticle oil and admire your Wicked Elphaba nails.
