If anyone caught last night's MTV Video Music Awards, you couldn't miss the outlandish fashions that graced the "white carpet." But Lady Gaga antics aside, the gal that continues to capture my attention and inner red carpet diva is the lovely Ms. Katy Perry. Oh how I love Katy, let me count the ways. Whether she's rockin a cupcake-shaped bra top or smurf blue wig, Perry pushes the limits of fashion and beauty and reminds us what's so fun about this industry in the first place. Last night was no exception. With a daring dress by Marchesa, peek-a-boo punk highlights (most likely courtesy of clip-in extensions), and a mind-blowing Minx manicure featuring portraits of Perry's fiancé Russell Brand, this "California Gurl" was the belle of the ball.
