Oscars How-To: Charlize Theron!

82nd Annual Academy Awards - Arrivals
Every time I see Charlize Theron, I'm awestruck. She's so incredibly beautiful! And she didn't disappoint at the Oscars, donning a daring yet sophisticated lavender gown. Though many derided the Dior dress, I loved its boldness and beauty—not to mention the elegant, delicate, almost understated hairstyle that accompanied it.

Theron's longtime hairstylist, Enzo Angileri, styled the sleek updo. “To create this look, I needed a very smooth texture and lots of natural-looking shine,” explains Angileri. He used new argan oil-infused Moroccanoil Light—made especially for fine and light-colored hair—on wet strands before blow-drying to ensure the hair looked perfect. “After that about 50% of my work was done,” Angileri laughs, “and I had a texture that was workable, healthy-looking and naturally beautiful.”

Angileri then created a low, classic bun by rolling Theron's hair around clockwise, and held it in place with several bobby pins, completing the classic polished look.

He finished the style with a light misting of Moroccanoil Glimmer Shine Spray to give hair an extra touch of red carpet glamour for the cameras. The 'do was held in place with new Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray for a firm, flexible hold.
