We're ready to say goodbye to winter and hello to a beautiful spring! Celebrity makeup artist Leo Won is helping us out with tips on flawless on-trend makeup. Leo, known for his makeup on movies including Blue Valentine, The Skeleton Twins, Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, Half Nelson, Me and You and Everyone We Know and more, dishes on his favorite makeup products and techniques.
Leo's Tips:
When it comes to brows, keep the brows very natural and messy looking. Try a natural color brow pencil such as Anastasia Brow Wiz. Draw tiny hairlike strokes to match your your eyebrow and then use clear mascara gel over it to get the look in place. You donʼt need to over draw or fill in your whole brows with dark color, so it looks like a solid paint my numbers!
Let's talk about lips! I know it is spring, but be bold and play with plums and reds. Lips are also amazing with a touch of bronzer all over!
For Plum Lips: Try Mac Pro Lip Palette 6 Select Plums. Yes ladies, wear it and own it! Donʼt be scared of dark color on your lips. Your selfies will look amazing! With a bold plum lip, keep the eyes and brows natural.
For Red Lips: Try E.L.F Studio Matte in Rich Red. Let's not make it too bold, use only a wash of color or a stain. Dab a bit of red on the lips and smear your lips together, but don't go over your lip line please! Use a tissue to blot most of the color off. (Fingers are the best way to get the look!)
Now for your eyes with the red lips: Use a black liner like Bobbi Brown Gel Liner and a shade from Urban Decay Vice3 Eyeshadow Palette to do a soft smokey look around your whole eye. Be sure to use good brushes such as Sigma Brushes.
For spring makeup foundation, make the skin look fresh and glowy. I like the no makeup makeup look, so i use Nardoʼs Natural face moisturizer first. Then I use MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural all over for light coverage. If you need a little more coverage, use ERA Makeup Spray Foundation. Just a little goes a long way.
