“In our industry, the latest cut can draw attention, but sometimes not cutting your hair makes the biggest statement of all,” says Patrick McIvor, Artistic & TechniCulture Director for Goldwell and KMS California, who’s latest chop benefitted the Hans Neumaier Memorial Scholarship - $1000 raised thanks to a $500 match donation from Goldwell New York - and a generous crowd at Intercoiffure donated $1,300 to cut McIvor and his two daughter’s hair for World in Bloom. A total of $2,300 was raised and all hair was donated to Wigs for Kids.
"This is my 4th time growing my hair to raise awareness, money and provide hair for a wig for a child, and it’s my daughter Emma’s second time and Claire’s first,” says McIvor. “It’s a great way to give back, it costs nothing but time and gives hair to people who need it more than us,” he adds.
