Hair Color How To: Purple To Teal Ombre by Angela Bozman

Angela Bozman, creative color specialist at Glam Salon in Delmar, Delaware, recently created this fun, multi-colored ombre look for her client. Wanting to avoid as much damage to her guest's hair as possible, Bozman kept her base color at the top and simply added color over the top, resulting in rich, vibrant color and healthy-looking strands. Below, Bozman shares her steps for achieving this look!

Says Bozman, "[The client] was young, so I didn't want to damage her hair too much. We kept her base color up at the top, which was an ashy level 5, and just applied the purple over the top.

1. "First, I used Schwarzkopf Vario Blonde Lightening Powder with 20 volume on her ends using the feathering technique to create an ombré look.

2. "Next, [I] shampooed only, no conditioner, at the bowl and then dried.

3. "Then, I applied PRAVANA Violet to her roots through the mid-strand, and used the PRAVANA Green on her mid-strand to ends, marrying the colors together [to create] the royal blue color in between.

4. "Processed for 20 minutes and rinsed in cold water, no shampoo."
