Hairstylist (and recent winner of Beauty Launchpad's #LPWeeklydo contest!) Lauren Carlson created this gorgeous braided up-do that's equal parts romantic and wearable. The style is perfect for clients enjoying the season - wether they're going to a festive holiday party, grabbing coffee, or simply running errands. Below, Carlson shares tips on how she created the style so you can offer the look for your own guests.
Says Carlson, "I started the look with Posh Dry shampoo (my salons product line), then I curled the hair with a 1 1/2-inch curling wand using Bumble and bumble's Does it all hair spray. Afterwards, I separated the curls with my fingers and sectioned two large sections horizontally front and back. I did one basic braid in each section and massaged the braids to give them a nice texture. After draping the front braid across the crown, I pinned the braids together and secured with bobby pins at the base.
"The key to this look is the romantic softness and organic texture," adds Carlson. "Letting little face-framing curls fall and messing up the braids a bit detailed this look perfectly. [I finished] off the look with Bumble and bumble's Classic hairspray."
