Subtlety is Everything

Sometimes it’s the subtle things that make all the difference. Not everyone wants a makeover, sometimes a little tweak here or there to update a look is all someone needs to be on trend for the season. Lori Panarello, owner of I.d salon (New York), recently did just that at the Worlds Fair Hair in Austin, TX. A model came in with a fringed bob that needed a little love and she delivered the WOW factor.

“I wanted to make the cut more relevant to the textured bobs we’re seeing this fall. By taking her length above her jawline, shortening the fringe and building in lots of texture, the cut became edgier and seasonally relevant,” explained Panarello.

To finish the look, shampoo first with KMS California ADD VOLUME Shampoo and Body Build Detangler, blow dry with KMS California SILK SHEEN Styling Creme and then finish with KMS California HAIR PLAY Dry Wax.

“This is the type of look you want to post on social media, because it will attract that type of clientele that does not want a drastic change, it can be a great trust builder,” says Patrick McIvor, Artistic and TechniCulture Director for Goldwell and KMS California.
