Redken Creative Consultant Guido captured the essence of the Jil Sander girl by creating a modern, androgynous hairstyle for the runway at the Spring/Summer 2015 show in Milan. To achieve this minimal, natural look, Guido used Pillow Proof Blow Dry express primer and satinwear 02 prepping blow-dry lotion to create beautiful texture throughout the hair before blow-drying and adding his finishing touches.
“The Jil Sander girl is always sort of masculine-feminine and very boyish. This simple, modern hairstyle really captures the essence of that girl. I used Pillow Proof Blow Dry express primer and satinwear 02 all over the hair to get that natural, beautiful texture. Then I blow-dried the hair, using my fingers to create a deep side part and tucked the hair behind the ears for a very masculine, boyish feeling.”
Create the Look:
1. Start with clean hair by washing with Diamond Oil Shampoo and Conditioner.
2. Thoroughly mist Pillow Proof Blow Dry express primer all over damp hair and comb through.
3. Apply a nicked-size amount of satinwear 02 prepping blow-dry lotion throughout damp hair and blow-dry with a round brush. Then create a clean, deep side part.
4. Tuck the hair behind the ears to achieve a natural finish.
