NYFW Get the Look: Shiny Sirens at Michael Costello by Linh Nguyen

Designer Michael Costello presented his Spring/Summer 2015 Collection with hair by lead artist, Linh Nguyen for CHI Hair Care. Michael Costello is an American Couture Fashion Designer of Greek and Italian descent. He was featured on Project Runway season 8, finishing in 4th place, and he was a Project Runway All-Star season 1 finalist. Lead hair stylist Linh Nguyen created a sophisticated shiny/wet look at the front/top with a sleek finish to the back for a more high-end result. Said Nguyen, “The collection is very clean and polished using a lot of textiles. With a lot going on, I wanted the hair to reflect a really sophisticated girl who just popped out of the shower with glistening and shiny hair that is clean and polished.”

Get The Look
1. Spray CHI 44 Iron Guard section by section and run a paddle brush through the hair prior to smoothing with the CHI G2 Ceramic & Titanium Digital Hairstyling Iron. Says Nguyen, “Don't brush the hair immediately after straightening a section. Let it cool so that the straight look can set in. Brushing the hair while it is still hot may cause unruly strands to kink up again.”

2. Once smoothing process is complete, apply all over a generous amount of CHI 44 Iron Guard Style & Stay from the root area down to the nape. Brush hair forming a C shape to create a curve to the natural shape of the head. Set product in with the CHI TOUCH Touchscreen Blow Dryer.

3. Apply CHI Pliable Polish to the ends of the hair and spray CHI Shine Infusion from the nape area down to the ends to complete the sleek look.
