Working in collaboration with world-renowned stylist William De Ridder of Belgium, Pivot Point’s Fall/Winter 2014 Arctic Light collection identifies evolving haute coiffure looks, inspired by the mysterious beauty of arctic landscapes and multicolored skies.
De Ridder envisions Arctic Light as modern beauty that embodies strength, which is cool and demure, yet equally magnetic. The hair colors are a play of light and shadows in cool arctic hues. In creating the looks based on Pivot Point’s Arctic Light collection, De Ridder emphasizes for stylists to focus first on creating the ideal frame for the client’s facial features. From there the stylist can construct shapes and textures that enhance and celebrate the beauty of the woman for whom he or she is creating style.
“Early in my career Leo Passage gave me a forum to pursue my passion for creating photo collections through photo shoots, but also in classes and shows for Pivot Point,” notes De Ridder. “Over the years, the Passage family became for me, as for so many others, a part of my own family. When working with today’s Pivot Point team, you can feel their energy and passion to create the best in education. The legacy of Leo is in good hands.”
Pivot Point also brought in the creative talents of world-class hair photographer BABAK, of Toronto, Canada, to capture the feeling, the mood and the professional hairstyles of Arctic Light. Marta Cebrat styled the trend collection, with makeup by Fredy.
