Fall is just around the corner, and now is the perfect time to switch up your client's (or your own!) makeup look. Project Runway Lead Makeup Artist Scott Patric shares some of his favorite fall makeup trends, as well as tips on how to achieve them, below.
"I adore a berry lip in the fall," says Patric. "After the bright pops of color for spring and summer, a berry lip feels so chic, grown up and sophisticated. Pair it with a nude eye a bit of eyeliner and you are gorgeous! My faves are Damned Velvet Matte Pencil by NARS; and a smudge softer and warmer is Goddess 140 Classic Cream Lipstick by Dolce & Gabbana."
Says Patric, "Think Prada! This look is a strong triangular wing across your eyelid. This is not a kitten wing that looks 60's - this look is a modern 'the future is now' look and it opens up the eye. My faves are Fluidline gel eyeliner by MAC, or Lineur Intense Felt Tip Liquid Eyeliner by L'Oreal. Pair this look with a softer lip. The eye is the statement, so nude out your lips."
Yes I said it! The ubiquitous Project Runway smokey eye is a fall winner," says Patric. "To make it feel modern, and less eyeliner/more smoke, pair grays with the gorgeous new peacock and burgundy color shadow trends. The new YSL Couture Palettes are insanely gorgeous. I have every shade. They are all gagagagorgeous! Start out with Parisienne #7. Use them damp at the lash line, and dry as you spread out for lots of eye real estate."
