Every professional colorist has, at one time or another, had to fix a DIY project. Kayla Giordano, stylist at Carolyn’s Salon in Aquebogue, NY recently turned a lift gone wrong into a work of shiny pink art.
“My client tried to lift her own hair with a cream bleach and not only did she irritate her scalp, she used a color product that did not deliver the desired results,” says Giordano. Below, Giordano shares her process for this color correction.
Get the Look: Shiny Pink
1. Apply Goldwell SilkLift 30 Volume from mid-shaft to ends for 30 minutes.
2. Wash and apply Goldwell SilkLift 20 Volume from roots to ends and process for 15 minutes.
3. Wash with Elumen Wash Shampoo and treat with Elumen Intense Conditioner.
4. Apply Elumen Hair Color vv@all for 30 minutes from root to ends and add some peekaboo highlights of pk@all.
5. Wash and lock.
