Nicole’s dress has a very 90’s feel so stylist Andy LeCompte wanted to create a hair look that was reminiscent of the same decade. The look is very simple and elegant, but still a bit undone and loose.
Step-By-Step Styling:
Start with freshly washed and conditioned hair using Wella Professionals Brilliance Shampoo and Conditioner.
Blow dry hair and once dry, take 2 inch sections, mist with Wella Professionals Thermal Image Heat Protection Spray, and curl using a 1 ½ inch barrel curling iron. Set each curl with a clip and continue curling until the whole head is set.
Allow hair to cool for 15 minutes and remove the clips. Without brushing through, backcomb and tease the roots to create volume and texture in the hair.
Next, distribute a few pumps of Wella Professionals Oil Reflections to help tame the hair and make it easier to style.
Then, take large sections of hair – one large section on top and two smaller pieces on each side – and twist toward the back of the head, pulling the pieces into a ponytail by the occipital bone.
Twist ponytail into a bun, securing with several pins.
Finish the look with Wella Professionals Stay Essential Finishing Spray, lightly misting hair to prevent flyaways.
