Coachella music festival Weekend One was not only the place to check out great music, but also a desert oasis for spotting the latest trends in beauty. One of the most popular looks seen at the festival was braids and Klorane was on the scene to help festival-goers get this hot style!
The Saguaro Desert Weekender at the Saguaro Hotel kicked off three days of high-spirited celebrating and Klorane was there to launch the first-ever Klorane Braid Bar, helping guests and VIPs such as Solange Knowles and Robin Antin get their style on! The Braid Bar was the center of non-stop activity as attendees were charmed by the country farm-stand vibe of the Braid Bar, a nod to Klorane’s botanical expertise.
Top hairstylists from Palm Springs salon Read Brown Hair Salon were on deck to put their braiding artistry to work. Headed by salon owner Read Brown, the hairstyling team who brought their talent and creativity to the KLORANE Braid Bar included Nicholas Elliot, Jennifer Moreno, Josh Fuller and Marlena Castro. Klorane products and an array of flower accessories were used to create the ultimate “Flower Child” festival look. Braid looks ranged from an artfully messy take on the classic French braid to a romantic, loosely coiled side braid to a glam goddess updo braid to an elegant ballerina braid. All braids were customized for each guest’s personal style. Even the guys were stopping by for their own versions of boho braids!
Party-goers were encouraged to upload selfies tagging Klorane on Instagram or Twitter with the hashtag #kloraneselfie to win fabulous prizes from Klorane.
Among the most in-demand looks was one featuring a long vine of tiny faux leaves—so KLORANE—woven into a long side braid. Many guests asked for a half-up, half-down look with a braided band around the crown with little blossoms tucked in. For a whimsical color accent the Read Brown team also had washable color chalks to streak through the hair. No matter what braid look guests requested, all braids were prepped with the appropriate KLORANE dry shampoo formula for their hair type to give hair body and texture.
