Stéphane Legros Joins Sam Villa ArTeam

Sam Villa, founding partner of Sam Villa and Redken Education Artistic Director, recently announced that Montreal salon owner, educator and editorial stylist Stéphane Legros will be joining the Sam Villa ArTeam.

“Stéphane has a unique way of looking at collections/runways and markets in the US, Canada and Europe, he has a talent for spotting nuances and adapting them to techniques and artistry to create new and fresh results,” says Villa. “His level of skill and devotion, coupled with his creative sense and heart makes him a great addition to our team.”

As owner of Cheveux le Salon, Legros' techniques support the everyday challenges of working behind the chair. He is passionate about involving guests in the creative process and stresses the importance of devoting ample time at each appointment for consultations and education. Says Legros, “During a consultation, it’s important to review past services and decide where to go from there. Each time you sit for a consultation, it should be like the first time, a fresh start, because fashion, lifestyles and seasons change and that can have a dramatic effect on hair. Our goal as stylists is to make guests feel comfortable in the salon and comfortable enough with the recommended tools and tips to be able to reproduce the same quality style at home."

Legros has also gained international recognition as an artist, having been nominated and won numerous international competitions, including “Avant Garde Hairstylist of the Year” at the North American Hairstyling Awards. His creative inspiration offers infinite possibilities to those motivated by artistic inspiration. “Hairstyling is a way to visually express; it allows us to communicate and reinvent ourselves to stay novel,” says Legros.

Legros will be playing an instrumental part in the creative direction for the brand.
