Milan Fashion Week: Sixties Chic by Moroccanoil at Blugirl

gner Inspiration: “This collection is inspired by the atmosphere of Swinging London. Blugirl interprets the style of the groupies like Marianne Faithfull with a bohémienne and romantic twist.”

The Hair Inspiration: “The look is sultry yet innocent,” explained hair designer James Pecis for Moroccanoil, “60’s rock-inspired with a nod to Velvet Underground singer Nico. A light wave in front curves at the eye to frame the face while the back of the hair is left smooth and straight, for a flippant and effortless effect. The key product for the style was Moroccanoil Volumizing Mousse, and we used it all over the hair for a soft hold, a smooth blow-dry and to prepare the hair for the curling iron.”

Get the Look:
1. “Prep the hair first with Moroccanoil Treatment, applied mid-length to ends to restore any over-styled or damaged hair and to give it a healthy, natural look.  I also used a bit of Moroccanoil Treatment Light on fine or light hair models if needed.”

2. “Apply Moroccanoil Volumizing Mousse from root to mid-length and then blow dry hair straight and smooth with a Moroccanoil XLPRO Paddle Brush – directing everything back and behind the ears.”

3. “To create loose waves, set the front section with a large curling iron.”

4. “Brush the curled front section, shape the wave to accent the eyes, then blend it with the rest of the hair in the back.”

5. “Finish with a light spray of Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray Medium to create a soft finish.”
