For the sixth year in a row, Supercuts, one of the largest and most iconic salon brands in the country, has been ranked the number one haircare franchise in the U.S. and the fourth best franchise opportunity overall in Entrepreneur magazine’s January 2014 Franchise 500 issue.
“Supercuts is thrilled to be named the haircare industry’s number one franchise for the sixth year in a row,” said Paul Plate, Regis Corporation’s senior vice president, franchise division. “It’s not a surprise to us though as we’ve had continuing interest in the brand; our franchise division has seen a 60% plus increase in franchisees over the past two years as entrepreneurs and career-based businesspeople have joined the Supercuts family.”
Plate credits Supercuts’ appeal to the overall strength of the brand, including its name recognition, its extensive franchisor support, and strong franchisee network. Another plus is that an entrepreneur doesn’t need experience in hair styling to open salons, simply an interest in business and working with a group of talented people.

In 2013, more than 100 new franchisees joined Supercuts, while many veteran franchisees celebrated five, 10, 15 – up to 35 years – with the brand. There are more than 2,300 Supercuts across the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico that provide consistent, high-quality haircare services and professional products to guests.
