Hair News: L'Oréal Professionnel Announces Kirsten Dunst as First International Spokesperson

L'Oréal Professionnel recently announced that actress Kirsten Dunst will be serving as the brand's very first international spokesperson. In addition, Dunst will serve as the face of new, upcoming product launches in the United States, including Beach Waves and Absolut Repair Lipidium, available in salons in 2014.

According to Anne-Laure Lecerf, International Managing Director of L'Oréal Professionnel, "Kirsten Dunst has a timeless beauty and is a modern woman, closely connected to fashion… She has the perfect attributes to embody the new values of L'Oréal Professionnel."

When selecting Dunst as the first global spokesperson for L'Oréal Professionnel, the company considered the talented actress's ability to seamlessly transition her hair from blonde to red, smooth and sophisticated to carefree and tousled.

Says Dunst, "I feel very close to L'Oréal Professionnel. The brand is strongly connected to fashion and I admire its commitment to innovation, constantly creating new professional services and products to achieve the most on-trend styles. L'Oréal Professionnel empowers hairdressers to transform and reveal the beauty in each woman all over the world. It makes me very proud to be a part of this stunning project."

Dunst is best known for her roles in Marie Antoinette, Spiderman, and Interview with the Vampire. Additionally, she was awarded Best Actress at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival for her role in Lars von Trier’s Melancholia. This year Dunst co-stars opposite Viggo Mortensen and Oscar Isaac in Hossein Amini’s thriller, The Two Faces of January and will be filming Jeff Nichols’ science fiction film, Midnight Special, in which she will play a lead role next to Joel Edgerton and Michael Shannon.
