NYFW Hairstyles How To: Mathieu Mirano S/S 2014

Hair by Rita Marmor for Oribe Hair Care

n, models lined the walls of the Studio at Lincoln Center as if they were human statues, towering above the spectators who marveled at their ethereal and fierce beauty. The statuesque models stood elegantly in their eveningwear designs by the talented young designer, complimented by an equally strong, sleek high ponytail created by lead hairstylist Rita Marmor. Inspired by the confident clean lines of Mirano’s collection, Rita chose a simple style for the hair, accenting each ponytail with a strip of white patent leather at the base to tie in the collection’s color palette. “The look is very strong, confident and clean,” Rita said. “I didn’t want to do anything with the hair to take away from the clothes. I love the idea of a high ponytail; it creates a beautiful long line when the girls walk.”
