Pravana Perfection: Alternative to Formaldehyde-Based Smoothers

Recently, the FDA has taken serious action towards banning Brazilian-type smoothers due to high formaldehyde levels and misrepresentation of formulas and safety on packaging.  Following the FDA warning, OSHA cited and fined manufacturers and distributers using formaldehyde and keratin-based smoothers.

One alternative to formaldehyde-based smoothers is Pravana Perfection which can be applied to virtually any hair type or condition.  Perfection employs the lowest flat iron temperature setting, allows for same-day shampoo and color and required only one solution for all hair types.

Steven Goddard, Pravana founder and president addresses the issue of formaldehyde-based smoothing products explaining, "We understand the financial benefits of performing such services, however is it worth the health and legal risk? The safest way to sustain revenue and give your clients what they desire is the Perfection SmoothOut service.  Perfection SmoothOut gives you the smooth, frizz-free results you desire, without the trade-offs."
