Miranda Kerr Goes Bold with Summer Makeup from Napoleon Perdis

Makeup Artist Napoleon Perdis and supermodel Miranda Kerr teamed up for the David Jones Spring/Summer 2012 Fashion Launch. Napoleon created two exclusive looks for the event. Featuring pops of bright, matte color on the eyes and lips and a complexion that is fresh and flawless, both looks are punchy, powerful and totally on-trend.

Perdis explains:

Spring/Summer is always about color and this year it's no different. Working with stylist Kelvin Harries, I had a preview of the some of the pieces and noticed that there's a strong trend for saturated primary colors - especially reds, oranges, and pinks. So I've reflected that direction through to two strong lip hues to anchor the whole look: a matte orange and a matte red.

The other strong message for this season: it's all about pastel power! I love a pastel palette for Summer - for David Jones I've customized two gorgeous shades of eye shadow in a powdery blue and a soft spearmint. I've added some white into both hues to keep it chalky and totally matte. I think the spearmint is my favorite...and it looks amazing against brown eyes.  The clash of pastels against the red and orange lips is a really modern way to wear color - just keep it matte!
