Local Businesses Host Fundraising Seminar for Victim of the Boston Marathon Bombing
ts for Matrix’s Spread the Love, a fundraiser put on by The Loft Salon, located on Newbury Street, to raise money for Celeste Corcoran, local hairstylist at Emerge Salon who was injured in the Boston Marathon bombing. From 10AM to 4PM attendees will learn how to style models for a formal wear editorial photo shoot from start to finish. Led by Matrix design team member Ammon Carver, featured in Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Vanity Fair and Seventeen, and Michael Albor, four time “Best of Boston” winner, nine time NAHA nominee and 2007 “Editorial Stylist of the Year,” together the stylists will teach students the different techniques of editorial hairstyling. Celebrity and editorial makeup artist Marlolga, will cover the art of makeup, while Sybylia, whose work has appeared inRolling Stone, W and People, will style the shoot which will be shot by local legend, Bob Packert. The BCAE and all stylists are donating their space and time for the event. All proceeds will go directly to Celeste Corcoran. COST: $100 suggested donation for stylists and $50 suggested donation for students.
