Salon Week Expands to New York and New Jersey for Fall Event

Salon Week, the customer appreciation event that connects the country’s top stylists, announced that their second event will occur on October 1 – 7, 2012. The event will return to Boston and will also expand to New York and New Jersey.

Over 20 salons in the greater Boston area participated in the first-ever Salon Week event in April, servicing hundreds of discriminating clients. Top salons, such as Bradley & Diegel, Salon Eva Michelle, Salon Marc Harris, Sassoon Salon and Studio 9, signed up to show appreciation for their existing clients, bring back inactive customers and gain new ones by offering 50% off select services.

As a result of the exposure gained through Salon Week, participating salons experienced an increase in both retail and services sales. According to a survey conducted after the event, the majority of salon managers and owners also indicated that Salon Week clients were likely to return and experienced a positive rebooking rate.

“The feedback we’ve received from the industry has been tremendous,” said Maria Lekkakos, President of Salon Week. “We’re excited to see top salons and stylists working together for the good of the industry and look forward to that continuing into the next event.”

For many salons, marketing can be a daunting, expensive part of running their business. Salon Week enables them to share in the national advertising, PR, social media exposure and in-salon marketing materials provided through the event. In addition, salons receive support from Salon Week sponsors--Goldwell, Hey Hey Gorgeous, Nioxin, Oribe Hair Care, P&G Professional, Sebastian and Wella.
