Hair By Bennie And Friends Celebrates 18th Anniversary

This month marks the 18th anniversary of Louisville salon Hair by Bennie and Friends, a local favorite that has gained national recognition over the years thanks to the innovative vision of owner Bennie Pollard. Pollard's own work has led to countless nominations and awards, including the prestigious North American Hairstyling Award (NAHA) in 2003 for the Avant Garde category and 2007 for the Contemporary Classic category.

But Pollard, who opened the salon in August of 1992, points to his styling team as his biggest source of pride thus far. "I am so thrilled to be able to provide all of Kentuckiana, and beyond, with some of the best talents this hair industry has to offer," he says. "My team at Hair by Bennie and Friends is top-notch."

Hair by Bennie and Friends is located on 2346 Frankfort Ave. in Louisville. Its hours of operation are Tuesday, 11 am – 7 pm; Wednesday through Friday, 10 am – 8 pm; Saturday, 9 am – 5 pm.
