Creme Colour Lounge, a brand-new Paul Mitchell Focus Salon in Chino Hills, California, is a hipster’s paradise where the bright, open space with modern retro décor and friendly, service-oriented staff makes every client feel like a VIP. Owner and Paul Mitchell educator Suzzanne Hawkins enlisted the help of a top interior designer to create a modern, cosmopolitan salon that doesn’t feel like a traditional salon space. Numerous decorative touches, including a rounded dark wood reception desk, sleek sofas, and two large plasma TVs with a rotation of music videos, create a lounge vibe. A focal point is The Color Bar, a beautiful area with a slate-gray countertop and a series of modern light fixtures. With rows of color products and tools neatly displayed behind the bar, the area serves as an ideal client consultation space.
