Education was always important to Don Bewley, who founded Eufora International with his wife Beth in 1997. More than two decades ago, he made a commitment to continued and advanced education within the professional salon industry. Though Don passed away in 2015, his legacy lives on. To honor his promise to serve the industry, Eufora is launching the Don Bewley Memorial Scholarship Fund, which will offer current and future salon professionals the opportunity to cultivate their craft.
“Anyone who knew Don understood his deep and unwavering passion for learning and for sharing his knowledge with his peers,” says Beth. “He always credited his personal success in the industry to the education and mentorship he was fortunate enough to have—so much so that Eufora was built first on a foundation of providing real and valuable education for stylists and salon owners.”

The scholarship fund will feature dual award paths, offering financial assistance to beginning cosmetology students, as well as to Eufora salon professionals seeking advanced education. Quarterly awards will be given to prospective cosmetology school students to use toward tuition at an accredited academy. Eufora Advanced Academy awards will also be given quarterly with a minimum award of one per quarter and as many as 12 per year. In order to qualify, applicants must have a passion for the professional salon industry and continuing education, as well as proof of enrollment in an accredited cosmetology school or proof of employment as a licensed stylist in a Eufora Partner Salon.
“It was Don’s dream to create a company dedicated to the advancement of the industry and to nurturing the success of all salon professionals,” adds Beth. “Helping people grow and achieve their goals gave him great joy. The scholarship honors his passion for education that’s still at the heart of Eufora. This has now become a part of our philanthropic activity, and we look forward to supporting deserving candidates in their career aspirations for years to come!”
