Create Emma Stone's Golden Globe Awards Look

Mara Roszak, achieved Emma’s stylish red carpet ready look with Matrix products.

Actress Emma Stone turned heads on the Golden Globes red carpet with her Bordeaux colored Lanvin gown and smoky eyes.  And she landed on US Magazine’s “Best Hair and Make-Up of the Golden Globes” list, thanks to her romantic, yet rough-edged hairstyle.

Celebrity stylist Mara Roszak created The Help star’s style, using a trio of hair helpers from Matrix.  She reveals that her goal was to create an edgy, effortless effect with Stone’s ‘do, while keeping the young actress looking feminine. The key to this, says Roszak, is to create a highly textured foundation.

To get the look, she applied MATRIX Total Results Amplify Foam Volumizer to damp hair and rough dried strands to encourage Stone’s natural texture.  Next she defined the natural wave by winding small sections of hair around a one-inch curling iron. Matrix Artistic Director Nicholas French also loves this product “full-bodied lift and support to give touchable thickness and volume all over.”

A dab of MATRIX Total Results Curl Contouring Lotion on Emma tamed frizz and flyaways, and enhanced wave definition.  “This product boosts body, bounce and shine as it nourishes with light moisture for lasting definition,” says Matrix Artistic Directors Brian & Sandra Smith. Emma’s stylist then twisted the lengths, gathered the hair back loosely and secured it at the nape, forming a casual chignon and allowing random strands to fall free to frame Stone’s face.  A spritz of BIOLAGE Freeze Fix Hair Spray secured the look, which was then embellished with some notable bling—a gorgeous Lanvin hair accessory!
