Amika has appointed Chelsea Riggs—formerly brand president—as its new CEO.

Riggs joined the brand in 2010; under her leadership, Amika has reportedly seen 10-times revenue growth.

By focusing on a “fewer, bigger and better” strategy, Riggs plans to continue to grow where Amika already has a stronghold with professional-grade, yet approachable, products.

Riggs said, “[Amika wasn’t] built overnight; we’ve been working on the same strategy for a few years now: our hero product strategy with narrow and deep distribution with our key partner, Sephora; and our professional network, which is extremely important to our current and future business. We’ve been in a position where we’re able to leverage everything that’s working about the brand.”
