Ditch the Hairspray and Still Achieve Voluminous Texture

The less-is-more approach to summer hairstyling can result in clients moving away from heavy hairsprays and other styling aids.

Case in point: Jessica Alba’s hairstylist Brittney Ryan achieved scintillating summertime curls on the actress without a spritz of hairspray. Using UNITE Hair products, Ryan breaks down the process below.

The Breakdown:

1. I started off with a light spray of 7SECONDS Detangler.
2. Then, I blow-dried with BOOSTA Volumizing Spray at the roots and 7SECONDS BlowOut Creme on the ends.
3. Once dry, I waved hair with a flat iron and used U:DRY Clear Dry Shampoo and SECOND Day to give strands more texture. Dry shampoo is my favorite product to use to create texture without having to use hairspray.
