The president and cofounder of Sam Villa, Beth Carson, has been appointed to the Professional Beauty Association’s (PBA) 2021 Board of Directors, after being elected to PBA’s Manufacturer’s Advisory Council twice.

“At Sam Villa, we strive to elevate the industry through education and ergonomics that improve stylists’ skills and longevity in their careers. We are proud to support PBA and their mission for our industry to be ‘Connected by Passion and United by Beauty,’” explains Carson.

The PBA plays a vital role for the industry: providing a voice and valuable services for all beauty professionals. PBA just launched the GBAC salon certification program for highest safety standards.

Over the years, PBA has raised and distributed millions of dollars in donations to salons and beauty professionals, who have been impacted financially during devastating weather disasters, and now the COVID-19 pandemic. These funds are available quickly and provide critical short-term cash to keep families fed or housed during emergencies.

For independent stylists, PBA provides valuable resources like discounted insurance programs, business advice and other products and services that might not otherwise be available to them. For new stylists considering a career in beauty, it offers the Beacon program with resources and opportunities. In addition, all PBA members receive discounts on shows and events like the International Salon and Spa Expo in Long Beach, California.

“I’m honored to serve on the Manufacturers Advisory Council and the Board of Directors for PBA. It has been a tremendously rewarding experience and a pleasure to contribute to our industry association. There are many ways that stylists and salon owners can volunteer and make a difference with the Professional Beauty Association,” adds Carson.
