Struggling to get over the jet lag after a wonderful two week journey to India, I look back at the changes I saw. Amazingly visible to me since my last trip there in 2008, I saw new airports, new bridges, new trains, new roads, and also was able to see the Indian people beginning to embrace changes in their hair. With over half of the population being under the age of 30, I witnessed the younger generation anxious to adapt to worldwide style. Although I missed the beautiful fabrics of the saris and traditional dress, the young people made my job easy to adapt the Rusk methods as they were ready to accept some modernizing changes. Keeping true to their own culture, we were able to cut multiple layers, and give rich glazes of chocolates and violets and flashes of carmel to their gorgeous dark hair.
