Riding the Wave With F. Wayne

Whitney Port films a scene with Olivia Palermo at Philip Marie then goes to Eskimix with other friends in NYC

If you've been following the weather in New York City (and why would you if you didn't live here!),  you know it's rain, rain, and more rain. So as I jetted over to Pierce Mattie's Media Oasis for the Zotos Diamond Shine event a week ago, my hair was huffing and puffing with frizz. But, as luck (and Zotos) would have it, F. Wayne, a super-talented editorial stylist with The Artist Loft talent agency, was on hand to transform my hair from fuzz to fantastically shiny and voluminous in a half hour. And during that precious 30 minutes, I gleaned this bit of insider info from F. Wayne: As far as style is concerned, we'll be riding the texture-laden wave.

"For my celebrity clients, it's all about the illusion of natural waves—tons of volume and texture," he shares. "I admit: I use a lot of hair extensions, and there's a lot of curling-iron work. But, at the end of the day, I want to make these waves look like they're natural and not too perfect."

The muse for wave perfection? The City's starlet Whitney Port, who F. Wayne recently beautified.
