NYFW Makeup: Dewey Skin and Ombre Lips at DEGEN

Mahasin Phillips for INGLOT Cosmetics created the makeup look for DEGEN's AW2015 presentation at New York Fashion Week. Said Phillips, “The inspiration for the makeup look was inspired to complement the collection with the idea of non-traditional beauty makeup, incorporating abstract loops and swirls that mimicked the designs in the collection. We wanted the look to be beautiful, clean and technically structured… yet incomplete, going against industry standards.”

Get the Look (Ombre Lip):
1. Said Phillips, "To create the dewy skin we used INGLOT Cream Concealer to color correct the skin with Brush No. 22T and INGLOT Cream Foundation with Face and Body Pigment No. 180 was mixed in for a soft luminous highlight, using Brush No. 27TG.

2. "For the eyes, we used the Eyeshadow Makeup Base followed by Freedom System Eyeshadow No. 557 applied lightly in the crease with Brush No. 6SS and gently pressed Freedom System Eyeshadow No. 467 on the eyelid with a light dusting of Face and Body Pigment No. 180 over top with Brush No. 29PO.

3. "On the apple of the cheeks we used INGLOT Freedom System AMC Blush No. 32 using Brush No.24SS.

4. "For the lips, we applied the INGLOT Lip Defence to nourish and moisturize, followed by INGLOT Matte Lipstick No. 402 all over and INGLOT Lipstick No. 175 on one side of the lips feathered out to the center of the lips for an ombre design with Brush No. 12S.

Get the Look (Dewey Skin):
1. Said Phillips, "To create the dewy skin we used INGLOT Cream Concealer to color correct the skin with Brush No. 22T, INGLOT Cream Foundation with Face and Body Pigment No. 180 mixed in for a soft luminous highlight, using Brush No. 27TG.

2. "For the eyes we used, the Eyeshadow Makeup Base followed by Freedom System Eyeshadow No. 557 applied lightly in the crease with Brush No. 6SS and gently pressed Freedom System Eyeshadow No. 467 on the eyelid with a light dusting of Face and Body Pigment No. 180 over top with Brush No. 29PO. Then we used our soft crease Brush No. 4SS to apply Freedom System Eyeshadow No. 391 on the inner and outer crease for a smokey effect.

3. "On the apple of the cheeks we used INGLOT FS AMC Blush No. 32 using Brush No. 24SS.

4. "For the lips, we applied the INGLOT Lip Defence to nourish and moisturize, followed by INGLOT Matte Lipstick No. 402 all over for a polished nude lip with Brush No. 12S."
