How to Create Kate Bosworth's "Still Alice" Makeup Look

Celebrity makeup artist Hung Vanngo worked with Kate Bosworth for The Cinema Society screening of “Still Alice" on Tuesday, January 13th in New York, NY.

BEAUTY INSPIRATION:

"Kate was super excited that she got to wear one of the late Oscar de la Renta's last designs to the premiere of 'Still Alice.’ We love Kate’s new short haircut and when we saw the dress, it was very reminiscent of a modern day Great Gatsby."

GET THE LOOK:

"I prepped Kate’s skin with Tatcha Deep Brightening Serum first, then Tatcha Enriching Renewal Cream, Tatcha Ageless Revitalizing Eye Cream & Tatcha Camellia Nourishing Lip Balm.

After prepping the skin, I mixed CK One Long Wear Foundation in Fair #200 with a tiny bit of CK One Skin Illuminator in Cool #100 to apply sparingly on the face and neck. Then I applied CK One Concealer Pen in Light #1 to cover under the eyes and around the nose.

For the eyes, I applied CK One Eyeshadow Base in Proper #600 all over the crease and both upper & lower lash lines. Then I used CK One Mono Eyeshadow in Ambitious #710  mainly on the crease and the inner corner of the eye. I skipped eyeliner. To finish the eyes, I applied one coat of CK One Volume Mascara in Show #800.

For the cheeks, I applied CK One Cream + Powder Blush Duo in Breath #100 using only the cream part and applied it with my finger, mainly to the cheekbones. I also used a few drops of the skin illuminator in cool as a highlighter, using my fingers to apply on the apples of the cheeks, forehead, top of the nose, and cupid's bow to make the skin look extra luminous.

The lip color is CK One in Devotion #220. I skipped the lip liner so the lips didn’t look too heavy.

To finish the look, I powdered only the t-zone with CK One Airlight Pressed Powder in Porcelain #100.

I love doing Kate’s makeup. She is not only absolutely gorgeous but also so easy to work with. I think she looked absolutely stunning last night."
