Blonde Analyzation

True, it’s fall, but some guests want to be summer blonde all year long.  It’s great to have a lifer blonde, but maintaining the integrity of the hair can sometimes be a challenge. The stylists at Di Rosa Haircare New York are trained to analyze blondes prior to any color application. They consult with guests, even if they have been in the salon previously, and try to replicate the "first time service" every time. When analyzing blondes, they critique how strong or weak the hair is before determining what lightener to use. They also review what products to use at home, as it’s important to use the proper retail items to replenish protein and moisture to allow a guest to continue to lighten their hair.

For the above fulltime blonde, Sal Caruso, stylist at Di Rosa Haircare, went with Goldwell Silk Lift and 20 Volume to ensure all the benefits of ShieldTechnology, which maintains the stability of conditioning ingredients during the oxidation process for optimal gentleness while lifting.

How To: Take vertical macro-weave sections working around the perimeter of head shape. Section out a diamond shape on top crown of the head lightly feathering the front section working in a micro-weave technique. This will create brightness near the face framing without being unnatural. After rinsing Silk Lift and 20vol, apply Goldwell Elumen Clear to create a beautiful shine and lock in moisture.

“Elumen Clear is great for blondes because it adds that reflective quality and shine that gets minimized with lifting,” says Caruso.
