To celebrate its move from Rockefeller Center to Manhattan’s chic Soho neighborhood, Wella welcomed industry icons and guests to a raucous June 2nd party in its new 11,000-square-foot space. This marked the scintillating start of a novel era for Wella education, now providing stylists with a breathtaking home in which to channel creativity and achieve technical excellence.

“Soho is a center for the arts in New York City,” notes Fabio Sementilli, North American VP of Education. “We relocated to not only join that community and become a resource for it, but also be more accessible to our artists and in touch with what inspires them daily.”

Revelers sipped champagne and mojitos while ambling around the third-floor loft, which can accommodate up to 100 students in three practical areas and a 60-person theater complete with a 16-square-foot video screen, stage and catwalk. In addition to state-of-the-art educational programs, including a revamped curriculum boasting craft-inspired courses like “Watercolor Techniques for Haircolorists” and “Stitching a Shape with Claudio Lazo,” the World Studio will house photo shoots and social gatherings for stylists to connect with New York’s arts scene.
