Ted Gibson styled Christina Ricci’s hair for the “Smurfs 2” premiere in NYC. Here’s how to get the look:
“Gibson girls, can we all agree that braids are so great and hot right now? That’s why I created a braided hairstyle for Christina Ricci today for the premiere and blue carpet screening of The Smurfs 2 in New York City today. Beauty braids are major.
To create this style, I started off with Build It Blowdrying Agent on wet hair for volume texture and overall shine. I sprayed from root to ends, then blew the hair dry with my hands for a rougher texture than you’d get using a brush. After the finger-dry, I used a medium-sized curling iron for more texture. But before each section I sprayed Beautiful Hold Hairspray on each section for lasting texture.
Then, I parted her hair down the center and braided it on both sides of the head. I used an elastic to hold it in place before roughing up the braid with my fingers to make it bigger. I pinned it at the top of her head, then sprayed with my Beautiful Hold Hairspray. So pretty!!”
