Dear Launchpad readers:

It saddens us to inform you that our dear friend Lili Jakel passed away on July 19 after a long illness.

Lili was a dedicated and active member of Intercoiffure for the last 30 years, serving on the Board of Directors and the Membership Committee. Her contributions to the association and the industry were recognized by the many awards she received, including the Ordre de la Chevalerie and the Cheena O’Seara Award.

Lili was a pioneer in the field of haircolor and an advocate of the advantages of a specialized color department in the salon, for which she received local and national recognition in both her mother country of Canada and in the United States.

She was a wonderful person, talented and loving, and will be sorely missed, but never forgotten.

We extend our condolences to her family and share their grief during this difficult time.

Cards may be sent to the family in care of the Michael Kluthe Salon, 1428 Yonge Street, Toronto, ON Canada M4T 1Y5
