Kocielski has these tips: Suggest blonding as an option for graying clients; be familiar with a variety of blonding techniques so you can appeal to any type of client; find out how much a client is willing to spend, then recommend a blonding option that suits her profile and needs; and let clients know about their color service options in a fun, exciting manner. For example, ask a caramel brunette how she’d like some “toasty, buttery highlights” or recommend that a rock star regular go “bling bling blonde.” Hey, everyone needs to lighten up.

Wella introduces Color PreserveMultiple Regimen, four new shampoos and conditioners formulated for specific hair types: Volumizing, Smoothing, Repairing and Hydrating (the original formula). Boost Color Retention
Colortech is a brand-new professional line of shampoos and conditioners that can help clients retain 92 percent of their hair color for up to four weeks after a service based on two shampoos per week. The secret: unique ECR-92 technology that cross-links color to the hair and locks it in, binding it to the cortex so it cannot be easily washed away.
