On Tuesday Dec 11, 2012 at the Grove of Los Angeles, Sweis Inc. Professional Salon & Spa Products granted a life changing wish to Gabriel, a 9 year old boy diagnosed with End Stage Renal Disease through Make-A-Wish Greater Los Angeles as a part of their Season of Wishes. The Season of Wishes program features eight public nights of magical wish-granting over a six-week period sharing heartwarming stories of local wish children.
Sweis was inspired to support Make-A-Wish when one of their employees, Rosie Escalante received a wish for her son Tony through Make-A-Wish in April 2012. Now Sweis has created a campaign to support Make-A-Wish and is committed to granting wishes for more children battling life-threatening medical conditions.
Through the campaign the company hopes to raise funds for the organization, raise awareness of the cause, and furthermore encourage their network of salons to get involved in hosting their own Make-A-Wish charity events. The emphasis of the campaign is on salon professionals who shop in Sweis professional stores, located throughout Southern California (Torrance, Lake Forest, San Diego and Encino). Customers will be asked to round up purchases through the month of December and Sweis will host an in-store shopping day on February 18, 2013 donating a portion of the sales to Make-A-Wish.
“At Sweis giving back to our community is a priority and in the past we have supported many organizations. This time we are especially excited to partner with Make-A-Wish since it is an organization that has directly touched the life of a Sweis employee,” says Karl Sweis CEO/Founder Sweis Inc.
