This holiday season Clark Russell the salon in Lafayette, CA will be hosting a fundraising party to collect money and a little cheer for a client's family who has been through a terrible ordeal. In June 2011, a client's four year old son Brenden Flaherty, was severely injured after he was accidently run over by a car in the family’s driveway. Suffering over five skull fractures, nearly complete blood loss during the accident, multiple organ failure, blindness, seizures, and lots of other problems, Brenden Flaherty spent over 105 days at Children’s Hospital in Oakland with multiple procedures including several brain surgeries. His family was there by his side at Oakland Childrens Hospital and through his transfer to Kaiser Permanente. Between visiting expenses, medical bills, and taking a leave from work, the family has incurred and continues to incur costs well beyond that of the families income well over 1 million dollars. Brenden still has a way to go before full recovery, but is now home with his family.
To help and assist Brenden and his family, Clark Russell the salon will be hosting a fundraiser party on Sunday December 4th from 5:00 pm to 8:00pm with food catered by Giardino Ristorante. Hosts for the event will include guests Colleen Dominguez from ESPN and local Tv Personality Jacqueline Bennett from KRON 4. Cost of entry will be a $10 donation towards the fund which will automatically enter each guest into a raffle to win a door prize of a Clark Russell Salon Make-over valued at $400 or more. Additional raffle tickets will be sold at the party to win various prizes, as well as auctions, some live entertainment.
