Beauty News: Campaign Aims to Redefine Sexy

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month S Factor founder, author and Hollywood actress Sheila Kelley launched a campaign entitled, Redefining Sexy: Believe in Your Beauty, which aims to redefine the terms "sexy" and "beauty" through a provocative video featuring true stories of real women. The video campaign, “Cancer Warrior,” features Diana Schlobohm, a breast cancer warrior who needs a spotlight. Diana lost both breasts to cancer, but one thing she did not lose is the knowledge that she is a sexy and beautiful woman.

The raw and gritty video, shot 6 days post-op challenges the viewer to answer the question, "Are cancer survivors sexy?" The video has caught the attention of celebrities like Eva Longoria, Rita Wilson, Lana Parrilla, and Apolo Ohno asking their Twitter and Facebook followers to “Believe in your Beauty’ and “Embrace your Beautiful, Powerful Self!”

Sheila Kelley stirred up pre-conceived notions about "stripping" when she debuted her striptease inspired workout, S Factor, on the Oprah show in 2003. There are now seven S Factor fitness studios across the nation and Kelley is widely regarded as the worldwide originator of pole dance fitness.
